For room hours, game offerings and whether an online operator is regulated, we use the casino's or operator's own pages and Ontario regulatory sources. Aggregator listings and forum posts come last, if at all. The full list is on our sources page.
Facts that change carry a date
Room hours, stakes, tournaments, promotions and the regulated-operator directory all change. When one of our pages gives you a fact like that, it should show when we checked it and link to where it came from. If a date looks old, treat the fact with caution and check with the room before you go.
We're careful with the word "regulated"
"Listed in the current iGaming Ontario regulated directory" means something specific. "Accessible", "available" or "marketed in Canada" don't mean the same thing, and we don't blur them. A poker site that loads in Toronto isn't necessarily regulated in Ontario. Our legality explainer covers the difference.
The same goes for private poker clubs. A business listing on a map isn't evidence of a gambling licence, so we don't describe a club as legal or licensed based on one.
Money doesn't buy a label
Commercial relationships don't change whether we describe a brand as Ontario-regulated. That label comes from official sources only. Our affiliate disclosure lists the relationships that exist.
Strategy content
Our poker lessons stick to maths and practice you can check yourself: pot odds, outs, position and sizing. If you flop a flush draw with A♥Q♥ on K♥7♥2♣, you have 9 outs and roughly 35% to hit by the river. We show the working so you don't have to take our word for it.
Corrections
When a venue, regulator, operator or reader points out a factual error, we review the primary source and update the page where the evidence supports it. Email contact@torontopoker.org or read the corrections policy. Material changes are listed in the update log, and our data methodology explains how room records are kept.
