How to use it
Work down the six boxes and hit the button. The finder reads them in order. If you want a tournament, it sends you to the tournament calendar. If you pick an area, it points you at the room that fits that area. If you leave the area on "Anywhere", your game and stakes decide the answer instead.
Try a second run with West GTA and a weekday. You'll see a note that Elements Casino Mohawk publishes poker Thursday to Sunday only, so Monday to Wednesday means looking somewhere else.
What the finder knows
It works from the published details for five rooms: Great Canadian Toronto, Pickering Casino Resort, Elements Casino Mohawk, Elements Casino Brantford and Casino Niagara. It knows which rooms publish 24/7 poker and which keep shorter hours, which list Omaha, which stakes each room publishes, and which put out a regular tournament schedule.
What it can't tell you
It doesn't know how many tables are running, whether your stake has a waitlist, or how tough the game is. Nobody can promise those in advance. After you get a result, open the room profile and check the live list or call the room before you drive. A $2/$5 game that's on the menu isn't always running at 11 a.m. on a Tuesday.
If you're heading out for the first time, read your first live poker game and live poker etiquette. They cover the podium, the list, buying chips and what not to do with your cards.
Game finder FAQ
Where can I play poker in Toronto tonight?
Great Canadian Toronto and Pickering Casino Resort both publish 24/7 poker rooms. Check the room's live list or call before you leave to confirm your game is running.
Which Toronto-area rooms spread Omaha?
Great Canadian Toronto publishes several Omaha formats and Pickering also lists Omaha. Casino Niagara offers Omaha based on demand. Confirm with the room on the day.
Does the finder show live seat availability?
No. It uses published room information only. Use the room's live list, PokerAtlas where the room uses it, or a phone call to check seats before you go.
