Toronto has a meaningful WSOP Circuit history, but historical schedules should not be confused with a current 2026 event announcement.

2025 return

Great Canadian Toronto and GGPoker announced the 2025 WSOP Circuit for April 10–22, 2025, with 11 ring events. The announcement highlighted a $2,000 Main Event, $3,500 High Roller, and new Ladies, Seniors and Pot-Limit Omaha events.

2024 inaugural Toronto stop

The first Toronto WSOP Circuit ran March 22–April 1, 2024 at Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto, with eight Circuit Ring events. The original announcement cited $3.9 million in estimated prize pools.

2026 status

No Toronto 2026 date is asserted on this page. As of our August 22, 2026 review, the first-party sources located for Toronto document 2024 and 2025. WSOP has announced 2026 Canadian Circuit series at Playground in Quebec, which is a different venue and market.

Why history matters

Historical series pages can still answer useful questions: which venue hosted the event, typical event mix, whether PLO or demographic-specific events were included, and how Toronto developed as a major-series destination. They should never be silently retitled as an upcoming year.
